PHASE 1 EMERGENCY

Temporary housing options are often sufficient to address the unmet sheltering needs of displaced populations in most disasters.

The scale of catastrophic impact on dwellings coupled with infrastructure destruction often challenge the efficacy of  traditional building methods. These traditional methods are based on the statutory supposition that such assistance will generally not be required for more than 18 months.

Green Container International Aid delivers superior emergency disaster relief and long-term solutions:

- Complete Master Plan and site development for Container Shelters that will provide housing for homeless people over the next three months after the occurrence of the catastrophes.

-Provide the complete electrical infrastructure to be connected to the layout of containers units.

-Provide an eco-friendly potable water and wastewater management system to the layout of containers units. 

The repurposing of shipping containers is accomplished through the following modifications, accomplished on the ground, with the assistance of local crews:

- White plastic Zero-VOC paint

-FSC Plywood / OSB board 3/4" for floor use

- 4 points concrete foundations

- Double screen doors and top element at both sides of the container

- Aluminum portable camping folding beds

- Metal cable standard wire guage #6 for  shading elements (we use locally-grown bamboo on site for the construction) 

- 200 liter gray water metal drum- potable water collection units

-Geo textile fabric of 9x24 ft for  "Green Roof"

-5 white tarps 10x10 ft for  pluvial water recollection

- Ultra low flow toilets 

PHASE 2 ALTERNATIVE AND PERMANENT HOUSING
